I'm trying to use aut midi to trigger long samples from the SP 404 on the SP 1200. I cannot access all of the sounds from C through J pads. I've read the Midi Guide and have looked at my SP 404 manual and SP 1200 manual but I still cannot get all the sounds from C through J triggered from my SP 1200 ...

I tried this method and it seems better then just using Edit TIME/BPM with Ctrl 1 for time stretch.. The time stretch is cleaner sounding without the clicky noise that TIME/BPM and Ctrl 1 put out.. im not familiar with the SP1200 much at all. But I know people are triggering S950s with it like you said. If this is possible then its completely possible to do the same with the 404. Its the same thing. The S950 has no sequencer at all. There must be a setting or something you gotta change.
