Midi Set up questions for SP 404 and Sonar Cakewalk

Set up:

SP 404 = MIDI IN
Midiman midi 2X2 (interface) = MIDI OUT

1. In Sonar 8 I can see all my Midiman Midi Devices and everything appears check mark selected and fine.

2. I have a Midi Track set up with the Midi Out = (The Midi Out that''s going to the Midi In on my SP 404).

3. I have the Midi in for the Midi Track set up with MIDI Omni (which should be fine according to Sonar.)

4. I have the Midi Track armed and ready to record.

5. I click on record.

6. It appears as though it's recording although once I stop the recording and click on play I do not see any recorded midi clips?

I'm Synchronizing to my computer with tMp (tempo sync) selected. I also tried with Aut (auto sync) selected and still the Midi Clips do not appear after I stop the recording.

I have tried Midi In from my SP 404 to my SP 1200 used as a sequencer and this combo works fine but I just can't figure out how to record midi with just the SP 404 hooked up to my Midi man and Computer?
