MIDI Channel up from Channel 1 to Channel 2?

Post by GeeSlimmy »

I'm trying to use aut midi to trigger long samples from the SP 404 on the SP 1200. I cannot access all of the sounds from C through J pads. I've read the Midi Guide and have looked at my SP 404 manual and SP 1200 manual but I still cannot get all the sounds from C through J triggered from my SP 1200. I'm using SP 404 midi in to SP 1200 midi out. I am able to trigger all sounds from A and B pads fine.

I've read through this explanation:
viewtopic.php?t=1680

My SET UP:
I have the SP 404 set to channel 1
I have the SP 1200 set to channel 1

When I use channel 1 or channel 2 on my sp 404 and sp 1200 I'm only able to access the internal A and B pad sounds. When I switch to channel 2 (channel up) on my SP 1200 I am able to hear and trigger one sound on my SP 1200 from the SP 404's 'G pad' but only when I select Pitch Keys "Yes" from the SP 1200. This one sound can be triggered on all my SP 1200 pads but that's it. The rest of the sounds from C through J are not accessible and cannot be triggered. I cannot figure out why??

This is very strange but after playing around with my SP 1200 Channels 01 and Channel 02 I found out that I can access all the sounds from the G Bank pads when I select "Yes" or "No" for pitch keys and both omni and poly mode work then I move my Tune/Decay slider up and down to access all the sounds from the G Bank but D Bank through J Bank are still not heard. mmm.. I'm going to play around a bit more to see if I can get all the sounds triggered.
