Is Guitar Center like the big music chain store in the US?

Was good to see a video of him sporting an AFX t-shirt in London recently. All those into FL and Aphex Twin should check out Luke Vibert (and any of his other pseudonyms) for similarly crunchy and unorthodox beats, if you haven't already.

Good work. Can't wait to get my stuff on vinyl, although I use Serato so it's kinda cheating...

Have been a fan for a while. It was Los Angeles that actually drove me to finally get some hardware, as LA reminded me of some tracks I'd written in terms of style. I realised I needed something that made life a little easier. And the hardware I went for was... a 404.

Damn right- it just makes concepts so easy to record and realise, without having to mess around with overcomplicated sequencers. Love it.

Thanks for your help guys, started sequencing on the 404 and getting to grips with it now. Will eventually record it live into my PC/Mac and mix it there.

Again, I love this machine- my creativity has been well and truly resurrected.

Recording/Exporting a Pattern

My First Question (now I have a fully functioning memory card).

I know how to export specific samples to .WAV/.AIF, but is there any way you can export whole patterns so I can then put them into a sequencer?

How do you guys normally go about recording? Sequence it all on the 404 then just ...

Cheers guys- it's a Kingston 1GB. Have ordered a SanDisk 1GB as I'm pretty sure it's the card screwing everything up.

Thanks dude, will do. Think it is something to do with the card and possibly the reader, it's utterly crashed my PC too.

Yeah I do. Have since managed to get my drum samples (1-12) imported onto Bank A, but my other longer piano samples just send the machine a bit haywire.

Internal Memory/Flash Card Relationship

Howdy folks, first post so apologies if this isn't in the right place.

I'm utterly confused about the above. I've got twenty samples on my Kingston 1gb card, and am trying to import them to Bank C and onwards. They're all numbered "01" through to "23"- the internal memory is clear with nothing on ...
