Really dope record, liked it from the jump. On another note, I read in a mag that he used to work at stonesthrow, like watering the plants, runnin erronds etc. When asked did the head honchos at Stonesthrow know of his musical prowess, he said, "yeah, they knew what I was up to, but it took me blowin up in other spots before they noticed me and said, hey, look at you". I found that interesting. Thats why somtimes you got to push and make a name for yourself, despite the odds, and ofcourse, I'm hard at it 8) , Peace, Duss.

If you guys like Flying Lotus you need to check out Samiyam. He and Flying lotus have a group called Flyiam. Samiyam is probaly the best producer out of those with the Jaylib syndrome (stop biting Jay Dee!). I love Madlib and Jay Dee, I'm just getting tired of hearing 20,000 producers trying to sound like him. In an interview he said " When I listen to Pete Rock or Diamond D I get inspired to make good music, not music that sounds like them. I'm trying to use the inspiration not imitate it." Now that I got that off my chest, go to Flying Lotus' myspace. Samiyam is on his top ten list. Be sure to grab his cd, 20-30 tracks of dope beats!!

I like all his stuff, but I really like Raw Cartoons the most out of all of them. It's like FlyLo doing Madlib style beats.

ALL of his stuff is so awesome. I didn't spent that much attention on that shit before... I was such a blind fool! I LOVE that shit! The best instrumental hiphop I heard for a looooong time. The last 2days I listened to nuthing but LA.; seriously...
I really would like to know how that dude gets down on producing, cause hey that shit can't be made with 8 voices of polyphony only?! What kinda sequencer/multitracker is he using? Are there any interviews or pther stuff I could check...? I already know the myspace stuff.
and which synths did he used? Some informations would be dope...
I only know that this dude rocks the mfx like nobody else does. Feelin the nintendo vibe a lot. I'm one of them, too. Nobody is fuckin with me in street fighter. 8)

Shit is so inspirational, dude is kinda living beat god or what?!
Guys got a new fan for shure!!!
I'm gonna check his his ass live in berlin in nov! His live shit looks like some fat action!

Thanx for bringin Flying Lotus into my life!!! I was so ignorant... *slap*

Last I checked he had 2 photos of his recording space. In it you can see an sp 303 and an old space echo( Roland 201 I believe. During live sets he uses an akai mpd 16 or 24 with his laptop. I saw a segment on youtube where he's doing a sound check and won't letthe cameara man film his laptop (smart guy!) I bet stonesthrow is kicking themselves in the ass forn not signing him!

FYI: I found a 12" a week ago that has a track produced by Flylo with Lil Sci aka John Robinson of Scienz of Life. Yeah you can hate me. :P
