Re: NEW TO THE FORUM....
side-chaining techniques on the sp vary. the one i like to use is mfx 12 compression on my kick and sample. make sure your sample volume is lower than your kick sample (i normally turn my sample down to about 80-90 and leave my kick at 127). turn knob one all the way right, knob two all the way left, knob three all the way right. play around with the parameters from there and see what you like most. there's a good youtube series on the SP from chops magazine that shows how to make a perfect loop, however i still struggle from time to time

To mark and delete:
1. press pad with sample
2.use to the mark function to narrow it down to the area you want to use
3.fine tune it by pressing the START/END/LEVEL and using the middle two knobs to adjust the start and end points.(repeat this process until you get it where you want
4. to permanently delete the excess sample at the front and end, press the pad with sample
5. press DEL
6. press MARK
7.TrC or something should pop up on the screen
8.press DEL again , wallah
try finding a manual online if you don't have one
