I don't know if everyone knows this, but I'll share it anyway cos I though it was cool.
If you copy the entire root folder on your Cf card, you can back it up on a computer, and free up space to load new stuff on your card. When you need the old stuff back, copy the stuff off again, and replace the old folder.
I've done this a couple of times before gigs to get my set onto the card, and it works perfectly. No samples missing, all sequences correct etc.
