I don't know if everyone knows this, but I'll share it anyway cos I though it was cool.

If you copy the entire root folder on your Cf card, you can back it up on a computer, and free up space to load new stuff on your card. When you need the old stuff back, copy the stuff off again, and replace the old folder.

I've done this a couple of times before gigs to get my set onto the card, and it works perfectly. No samples missing, all sequences correct etc.

Anyway, I apologize if this is old news to everyone..

Peace.

no no; it's good to see people giving back instead of coming with rtm questions. i do this all the time, it`s a good way to save money on memory cards.

Ok... wait, wait...
Copying and replacing the Roland folder is all I have to do?
I don't need to export my samples from Bank C-J? (and put them on the right place ...) I always was too scared to try that Roland-folder-thang.
...and you seriously say it works?

I only figured it out cos the card I was gonna use for the show died and could not be read by the 404- only the pc. I didn't want to lose the stuff I had on the good card, but I had no option but to try it.

I was super stoked when it worked. :D
