Re: Random Thoughts
I have the exact same headphones, I love them, I also used to use those cheap Sony headphones for a long time, then I was thinking why they have those expensive headphones out there? they are good enough? so I asked in another forum and they came with 2 models on my budget in that time (~$100) some Sony (that I seen a lot of people use) and the Sennheiser, so I bought them... I'm happy with em I don't use them to much because I have a good pair of monitors but when it is very late in the night and I want to make beats I just grab my headphones and I let myself enjoy the jamming sessions... sometimes I find myself spending several hours with the SP and I discover that I was just messing around with nothing recorded! lol this machines are dope!
Re: Random Thoughts
Oh word lol? That's cool! I was going to ask you guys' opinion but I was scared someone would scoop them up before me if I took too long. I just googled and then copped them right away.
Yeah, ultimately I need to get some monitors but I needed something for now when people are sleeping and what not. Plus I'm kind of trained to make beats on headphones and then tweak them on speakers afterwards from starting out in my living room as a kid and also not liking when other people hear them while they're in the process lol. I would get burnt out really quick with those cheap earbuds and it was messing up my productivity. Someone was also selling the Grado SR80s. I really like the idea and the look of them but it would defeat the purpose since you can still hear them from the outside lol.
Haha, that's true about the SPs. That's one of the reasons I really love mine. You have so much freedom to play around. I can hear a sample and picture how I will do it, then I will chop it up and through experimenting, end up with something completely different that sounds way iller. Most times I just put the hi hats on loop and just go crazy with everything else and come up with a concept. I still rep FL even though I don't really use it anymore except for tweaking my SP beats, but I had a totally different approach when using it. More often than not, what I intended to make is what I would end up making lol. When I first got my SP, I needed to make a beat quickly for this event and I actually played around with the sample in the SP and then took the concept to FL and built it in there. The SP was acting weird (I had the sample in reverse but every couple times, it would play the last seconds of the clip regularly) and I wasn't 100% confident. I didn't even have a multi track yet and I didn't want to deal with hooking it up to the computer and all that.

Is curious, I always believed that introverted people use arts (music, paint, dance, etc) to express themselves... I used to be like that... but after several shows and things that happened in my life I decided to be a little more open to the people and is not that bad! lol...
Re: Random Thoughts
I'm not as bad as I used to be but I still don't really like people in my space like that lol. I used to be in a group with this other chick and when we had to perform I would just zone out and just do my thing lol. Afterwards people would be coming up to us to talk and I just turn back into this shy, giggling person. I remember one time when we were recording and the people in the studio were teasing me because they're like you hear me in the booth and it's this serious voice and then I come out all "tee hee" and blushing lol.

I'm extremely happy, they just called me from the board of education, my daughter were selected for the talented gift program! I'm so proud of her, also she was picked as superintendent scholar twice this year and they give her two medals and certificates!
Re: Random Thoughts
Wow that's so cool! Good for her, she's on the right track already.
