Got some really nice stuff going here so far, I'm definitely digging it :D yo Jak-did you program the drums with the alesis? Some dope swing on that beat....

yeah i programed a 2bar loop on the sr16 then sampled it into the sp404. then used resampling to make my patterns using the vocals as one shots. some of my patterns i layered a sampled breakbeat over the sr16 drums, which is probably where that swing comes from. the sr16 has a swing function but ive yet to use it, only had the alesis for 2or3 weeks. :)

Again.. a week left to go for this(check the thread in freedom of speech)-got 7 submissions so far,hopefully we get a bunch more the next 7 days.I'll have mine knocked out in the next few. Everything's sounding real dope so far....peace

I have something cooking on the back burner, but i got a Spectralis 2 this week on a loan/possible trade that has been stealing my time 8)

A.d. thanks for the props, but I don't think so. Also if it gets you in beatmaker mode even more, all the better!

Truth to be told, I fiddled around the WHOLE weekend with op1 and sp303 and NOTHING came out. So on monday I fired up the rhodes and the kawai and this just happened. Maybe Karma was involved ;)
The hardest part was me "singing". It wasn't that easy at all, and I never recorded voice before and try to make it fit over the rest... oh well. I am waiting for the next entries - checking every day guys :)
