MSX17 Knob 3 effect?

So i have an SP404 sx and i noticed that when i run drums through the radio tuner effect with all knobs turn to zero, if you turn Knob 3 to around the 9oclock-1oclock area you get what seems like somewhat of a compression effect.

Wanted to see if anyone had ever played around with it.

YES i do this on the regular with the kick drums. kids sleep on the radio tuner. good find HV.
Im using the OG 404 tho. it might be different on the SX

nice it seems to give it some fatness and a bit of distortion. The only difference im aware of is the effect number.(on the og i think its MSX16)

I also used the effect on subsonic bass tones which gave them a thicker sound and a slight background hiss.

props! good tip. i use the radio tuner (OG) to add sci-fi noise to stuff. hadn't thot of it as a sub.
