Moussaka

Post by crumbsucker »

Today I was making moussaka for dinner and took some shots by the way.
Moussaka is Greek or Turkish or Bosnian or Serbian...
all of them would kill each other proving it's their native anyway.
We all like it so...

4 people
--------------
700g of potato, sliced like chips - wash 2 times
700g ground pork and beef mix
1 onion, finely diced
1 clove garlic, pressed
100ml olive oil
Salt and ground black pepper
Drop of wine if possible
butter approx. zippo size cube
6 tbl. spoons of flour
Cheese... what's in a fridge... all counts
milk 0,6L
Heat oil in a saucepan over a moderate heat. Add the onion and garlic and gently fry until soft and glassy.
Add meat salt and pepper and stir stir stir for 20 minutes.
Add some oil and water by the end... we don't want dry mousaka.
Salt it by the taste if you feel meat too salty it is okay, we wont salt potato.
