monophonic?

monophonic?
is there a way i can get my sp 404 to just trigger one pad at a time? so if im hitting one pad and then i hit another the first pad stops playing (monophonic). im trying to make a chopped up sounding guitar loop but the samples are running together. help a n00b out? thanks.

chop your samples up just right so they end when you end when u need them to.

Guys, Why don't you set the first sample with loop on and gate off ?
first beat hit the first pad.
second beat hit both first and second pad... it'll cut the pad just on time...and will be quantized if you choose to.
This trick work great except for repeats... then you have to have two times the same sample and hit both pads at the same time. Or set your pad to loop off gate off.
