monophonic?

Post by ocdivestudio »

is there a way i can get my sp 404 to just trigger one pad at a time? so if im hitting one pad and then i hit another the first pad stops playing (monophonic). im trying to make a chopped up sounding guitar loop but the samples are running together. help a n00b out? thanks.

why not just set the samples to gated so that when you take your finger off the pad it stops playing.

i've often wished that you could choose 2 pads to share one voice, nice for ending an open hat when the next closed hat comes in

make a pattern at some absurdly low bpm, get it right then speed it up.

Guys, Why don't you set the first sample with loop on and gate off ?
first beat hit the first pad.
second beat hit both first and second pad... it'll cut the pad just on time...and will be quantized if you choose to.
This trick work great except for repeats... then you have to have two times the same sample and hit both pads at the same time. Or set your pad to loop off gate off.

I thought I shared that one already... hope this helps !
