yeah, actually, i think that might be it, hema. not like he's trying to sound like something he's not, more that he's modeling after stuff he digs.

i unnnnnerstand it. i guess it just strikes me as weird, esp given that his production and lyrix aren't really drawing straight from anyone. you know? like if those are original (and they are) why isn't the vocal delivery...

There really isn't a way to spit a verse originally anymore. There are only so many ways to say a verse and chances are it's gonna sound like someone who did it before.
