I have the 606 with the velocity pads and I turn that shit off... Anybody else do this?

I tend to often turn it off on my MV as well, did so on my SP-606 too.
Personally I think the whole velocity sensitivity is overrated. I rarely use it, sometimes for hi-hats and snares, but that's it.
Of course, getting the best variation and dynamics in a beat does mean you should use samples at different volumes, but I am a bit of a control freak when it comes to this. It's incredibly difficult to use the velocity sensitivity and get the perfect dynamics in one go.
