i grew up listening to Skynyrd just like everyone and i like them except for the fact that their music has been commercialized to death. i had the self titled cassette where you had to flip the tape right in the middle of Freebird because it was too long to fit on Side One.
i was using Skynyrd to illustrate the fact that i'm in the wrong place at the wrong time. i'm a DJ in a city where most people would rather hear a cover band. i'm sure the small town folks on here know what i mean.
