i remember seeing a Q-Tip interview where he said his apartment burnt and he lost alot of stuff .. records etc . whatever surfaced was meant to be . lookk at that lost material as the basis of you masterring your craft .. consider it a new lease of creativity

yes. i had somewhere probably around 1000 beats i had made in the past 6 years, and i lost almost everything (still had my few soundcloud and bandcamp beats lmao). hard disk corrupted. everything gone. the music files on that hard drive had been accumulating for over 20 years, from computer to computer. almost 3 weeks time of continuous sound if you wanted to listen to the entire collection of music once. all gone.
