I been hearing about a top secret MV to be a hybrid of hardware and software. They worked on it since Maschine Studio was announced. The source was an ex-employee at Roland USA.

If its true it could be the MV. But I would love a suped up SP and with, finally, **GASP** pitch tuning!

An SP with pich tuning and mute groups would be cool. Hopefully by next week we'll know whats up.

they will probably overload it with usb wifi 3g software integration nonsense.

I don't think they have the lofi beat maker community in mind anyway. They deffo won't be thinking they need to put that 303 vinyl sim in there...

But i'd be a bit surprised if no one from Roland was checkin these forums out once in a while for some ideas and feedback

yeah it would be great if they could keep it simple. But I do like the idea of a hardware/software hybrid, and not like what maschine does. It would be awesome if you could run it standalone, dump all the info to the computer and run it on the computer without the hardware, and then dump it back to the hardware. So that neither is dependent on the other to run. That would truly be the best of both worlds. Because I definitely prefer to do fine tuning on the computer but not necessarily when the beat is done.

There's more than NAMM. Roland has announced products at Musikmesse in the past as well as other platforms.

This guy got caught leaking the info. So hopefully we'll see something at Musikmesse.
