Sounds like someones having a last bout of teenage angst after just moving out of their parents house. Personally i dont really care about sp users level of comfort, if theres some good stuff, i download it, if not then i dont.
Seems strange that last week you were asking for PMs about your music now youre having a dig at the users on here

I'm encouraging users to work on everything, an endless cycle of getting less shittier versions of their work.

Are you implying that humans are so simple that they can't have conflicting emotions, or major turning points in life?

People that enjoy when others are uncomfortable usually have tough luck with the ladies, and are shitty friends. but who am I to judge, I'm no better than you nor vise versa (just wanted to join the aggression) :D

No, i know all about turning points in life, im not suggesting that at all. Im just suggesting that because youve had no response from your earlier post that you've had a tantrum and vented it out on an otherwise chilled, helpful group of people because you were "too comfortable". Good music doesnt have to come from a dark place, i believe sincerity is where great music comes from not from forced misery, isnt that just pretentious?

Cool man, stay up... It's fine if you want to be chilled and helpful and call it a life. I want more and there's nothing wrong with that. We're lucky to live where we do now,; I got the window of opportunity and choose to be out here. The dead honest truth is if i'm not doing this, I would be sitting at home watching American Dad, accumulating student debt, fall in love. Eat. Drink. Work. Fuck. Sleep. Repeat.

"If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is." - Charles Bukowski

I was in the same boat as you 2 years ago when I was 19. Hope everything works out for you man, enjoy the ride. Recently discovered Bukowski, you'd probably be interested in his stuff. But that definitely isn't a lifestyle for everyone.

Awesome quote!!!
I also was in a relatable situation a couple years ago when I lived at a campground for 6 months.
Wrote a song about it.
Like to hear it? Here it goes!

Jerking off , Eating imitation Oreos & watching interracial facials....U might as well plug your SP 303 into your Cable Box and sample some Net flix kid....I think you're too young to be going through a mid life chrisis...if youre not having fun with it...you need to re evaluate your life and figure out if you wanna "beat machine" or "beat your meat"....get your life together kid.

While i'm thinking "i'm a fucking producer because i have an sp-303, just like FlyLo." If you're still with me; cool. I would say my happiness overall is a solid 40%. I got rejected from the Navy because i was a bitch who threw a temper tantrum at 17 and got into some shit. I'm 19 now, just shy of a few months before turning 20. I'm fucking young, full of energy,i'm stupid, my music sucks everyone's music on this forum sucks. HEAR ME OUT. I bet whoever is reading this, is living in the comfort of their mom or dad's house, or reading off their iphone or android, or off their fucking google glass. You are just as comfortable as me. face it. A lot of kids on here have talent, but have no experience. Like absolutely none. You don't know true fear, so how can you express fear in your music? I laugh when i read user's "feedback" on the battles now. I get that most are learning and have absolutely no clue what they're doing. But they're too afraid to try and experiment, which is what hip-hop is built off of. If you're too afraid to try anything then stop pretending like this is for you. do something else, go to college and get a degree, and have 200,000 worth of debt. I don't need to validate my music to anyone, i could present a masterpiece and have some dipshit say "Nice groove, very compressed, but you need more samples" Fuck that. I suck but from now on i'm going to be miserable while i make music and i hope others are too. If you're comfortable while making a beat, just know no one will fucking care, why should i care? That's all i've really want to say, dust in the wind, fuck being comfortable, #sadlife. You should listen to my music because i'm the best.

I'd like to first qualify my position by saying I do not live with mom and dad, I do not eat oreos anymore and I'm turning 35 in a month...

That out of the way, I've gotta say your views are your own and you can hope whatever you want, but I think the main thing is that you feel you know what you need to improve. If you're old enough realize people are different, then you should also be old enough to realize your methodology is purely your own and doesn't fit anyone else like it fits you.

I'd also like to throw out that if you're not happy or feeling engaged when you're making music, you're doing it wrong. There will be a learning curve, no doubt, but learning and problem solving (which is all learning really is...it's discovering knowledge which helps you solve problems and understand that which was not understood before) shouldn't be so stressful to you so as to remove all enjoyment and happiness from beatmaking...otherwise, who the fuck would even do it? Even if you don't feel specifically HAPPY with a track, you should be getting some small sense of satisfaction from the problem solving that goes on while learning the craft.

I'm not going to hold your age or views against you in this regard or anything, but a bit more wider scope in your world view will help you on your way...if you're regarding comfort zone as a place where you're NOT learning, then I totally agree with you, just not the way you've portrayed it. :)

Just like any other craft, just noodling around with it a little bit each day, reading and checking out other people's works in that craft and just continuing to do that when you can, that time and energy put in will definitely show in your output and you won't notice it until you're well along your road as a producer and look back at your first steps. If you keep looking back early on, though, you'll just be discouraged...just make stuff, keep trying new things.
