no brainer--404 with external resample. djfx and bpm looper are cool but i could easily live without them.
honestly i'm cool without the external resampling since you can just sample your external bass or synth notes to the pads and do it that way. there seems to be a workaround for nearly everything

the other day my 404 bugged out hardcore, and all the samples speeded up x20, so i am convinced it has sample rate pitching , this happened to me right after i pitched a sample in my sample trak and bounced it back into the 404. now my memory card only works when i put it in a few times after turning it on, never works with the card in place when i turn it on

external resample is the shit. Dumbest thing they could do was to turn it off. I sometimes forget going from an older 808 which has 2 inputs and can record whatever, even record from the 4 track to the pads. Then i use my 404 and im like "oh, forgot" it hinders my set up so much that i only use it as an effects send/return which is pretty dope and i might record a snippet of something that im sending out from my multitrack and fuck with it more before i return it. But the external record during resampling should be standard. Had it in the 808 and the 303, said fuck the 404 and brought it back in the 555. Them dudes at roland gotta be on dog food.

yeah its weird how when they went from 202 to 303 they took away the nice pitch effect they had and made it shittier. and the mic..

i would trade vinyl sim for panning. or maybe not. but i think every instrument should have djfx:)

303 with subsonic would be nice, also if it ran on sd cards instead of smartmedia. I've gotten used to the work around for the ext resample i don't even use it.
