I'm sure it will; I have the same functionality on my juno-d synth, which has D-beam.

D-Beam Turntable Scratching in FL Studio

For those of you who like integrating SP and software, particularly FL Studio, I have an interesting trick for you.

First, obviously, you will need the drivers for the 606 installed, as well as a copy of FL Studio. You will then have to enable the 606 as a controller (Options-MIDI Setting or ...

Long mode will sacrifice quality for more sample time. Use standard mode for the best quality.

I think you will have to run the downloaded drivers from the desktop folder or it won't find it or something.

Just save the drivers to your desktop and you should be fine.

Trust me, I did that, moved them over to the desktop, and tried following the seven steps again, and i got stopped cold at ...

You can cut your own chops on the machine, but it is a bit tedious. You would have to copy the waveform to each pad (or 1 for as many chops as you want) and manually set the start and end points of each pad. It may take a while longer, but each piece would be exactly as you want.

I still reckon INT SEQ SAMPLING should have been included. If it can grab an external esauence so easily, an internal one should be even easier...

As far as the 606 being an 'upgrade' for the 808, not true. No SP is an upgrade to any other SP, really... they are all 'sidegrades'..... hehe

I ...

606man, so it can resample through the P606 software? i'm not knockin the 606..., i just figured it would, cause the 606 is a big upgrade from the 808...

This is exactly what the EXT SEQ Sampling function is, but only loops made with the software can sampled, not internal ...

Very neat trick if you have a keyboard with arpeggio feature. I have the Juno-D, and it works flawless. It is also a good work around to record "rolls" on the sp.

I'm sure the sp reads 16mb cards... try reading the card through a different card reader and formatting it on a pc, then try it again on the sp. If the pc wont read it, the card may be damaged or unsupported.

The sp has 16mb on internal memory, which is the first 8 pad banks. You can sample to ...

It really disappointed me that the 'enveloper' on the 606 only works on the synth and not on samples. I mean, DUH

My enveloper works with samples on my 606; you sure yours doesn't work?

When connected via USB, the SP makes a MIDI connection to your pc. In a soft sequencer, you can sequence the sounds of the sp's pads on the pc and when you're ready to go live, you can sample the tracks to the sp. The SP is one of the best samplers for long sample phrases, so it works pretty well ...

I don't really like this whole resampling thing banded around the way it is.

Only 4 tracks, but don't worry you can resample.

That would be all well and good if you could resample patterns into a sample. But you can't. As far as I know, you can't. Maybe you can, in which case I'm talking rubbish ...
