help me learn/discover something i may be over looking. pattern seq sounds great for mixing and substituting pads, but i fail to see the light of why it is amazing. maybe its the way that i use my roland 404sx, but i definitely want to understand so i can step my game up!

i mean we are basically eliminating the center/bass frequencies so this doesnt make much sense to me. i will try it out!

looking to be a little more.... accurate with the subsonic and make some basslines repeatedly/accurately when resampling or doing it live... i thought maybe there was a way to limit the effect using the SP404sx built in 'effect limit' function. i couldnt figure it out... any thoughts?

um yes... you can record in external hookups... just record it in and make sure the "stereo" button isn't highlighted... this probably isnt the best place to post a question (the tips n tricks seciton)

I use ableton and a 404sx. Would be interested in collabing. Here's an example of what I mean, something much shorter than this, but with cohesive vox, sfx, etc.

i can make a beat in ableton faster, but the 404 is more fun and less, microwave feeling. also, i find with the 404 i have to be more creative. there's also something about having limited options that will make you get creative. i prefer both
