oh no problem-actually i always liked mono samples--it's old school haha!

Ok people, i've finally found out what caused internal metronome stuttering - stereo samples! yes, in order to avoid this problem--use mono samples only. Stereo samples probably use a lot of RAM and cause some kinda system overload that's why we get visual pattern delays and metronome stuttering.

this can makes you nervous, expecially if you want to resample things out of sequencer
i think it's more a matter of "midi data" quantity imput simultaneously to the machine that makes metronome a little out of sync......many stereo sample ...

been using sp-606 almost for 4 years already. I started to notice recently that when i'm recording a drum pattern in real time my sp's internal metronome gets out of sync when i press pads really fast. Recorded pattern sounds ok and it plays in sync but during recording metronome ...

The manual isn't very descriptive about this.

How are patterns saved? Is there just a long list of them?

More importantly, if I have a pattern playing and I want to switch to another one smoothly, what do I do? Preferably to have the pattern start as soon as the currently playing one finishes. Is ...

Depends on how many seconds the samples are and the mode you're sampling in. I know that a 512MB card can provide 5 hours + of sample time, but the size of the samples is up to you. Some like 7 second samples, some 3, and some 1 second.

from what i heard - sp606 can read only 200 mono samples on 512mb compact flash card

my experience actually showed that my sp-606 can read only 100 mono samples on 512 mb compact flash card

People? could somebody tell me ...

i make ambient on sp-606, use this sampler mostly for atmospheric sounds

yeah, you can do it with sp-606 on, but first disable the card/ after you did it just take the card out without turning sp-606 off - it's ok

actually i had the same problem once,but i just turned off my sp-606 turned it on and the problem was gone - means that it;s possible to have first 9 banks filled with samples and having the rest of the banks operating - sometimes just reload sp-606

i use sp-606 for remixing mostly - i fooled around with kmfdm and shotgun messiah songs - did some kinda mixture of crystal method with these bands - just cut out loops from these songs - did it all only with sp-606--which is an old scool way - no computers at all!!!
