sample capacity

Post by ayakush »

Ok people i know lots of people already asked this question--but once again

from what i heard - sp606 can read only 200 mono samples on 512mb compact flash card

my experience actually showed that my sp-606 can read only 100 mono samples on 512 mb compact flash card

People? could somebody tell me their experience regarding this question

coz 100 mono samples is ok for me - but it makes 512 mb card totally useless - i can't even fill all the banks! :)

Depends on how many seconds the samples are and the mode you're sampling in. I know that a 512MB card can provide 5 hours + of sample time, but the size of the samples is up to you. Some like 7 second samples, some 3, and some 1 second.

well i tried one-shots then 8 bar drum loops - and still sp-606 could only read 100 mono samples

so the card was filled with 300 mono samples but no matter what i did sp could only recognize 100 of them
