memory card removal question...

Post by FyLe ForMatz »

true or false:

it's okay to insert and remove the CF card when the SP 606 is on.

in other words, do i have to power off the 606 to insert or remove the memory card?

I guess it isn't a problem if the 606 doesn't access the card while it's taken out. Since it's not meant to be removed in the first place, chances are that it ignores the "card present" recognition or however it works.

Yeah most likely with Shutdown, you can have the 606 on and remove the cards with no issues. But if Teewok is doing that without shutting down :o ...then he's one highroller!!!

yeah, you can do it with sp-606 on, but first disable the card/ after you did it just take the card out without turning sp-606 off - it's ok

I just press the buttons for shutdown, and execute it, but don't actually power it off. Then I switch the cards and select the bank I want. I have had my 606 for 5 years and have had no problems.
