One thing I always wonder about that is how heads trigger clips and launch scenes with just the MPD. Do you map each of the pads to be a different scene or clip? Or do you just have the whole set running by itself and mpd for effects and one shots? Obviously different by preference. Just wondering ...
Haha no doubt. The overdrive effect is weak I was talking about overdriving the Mic in. Like turning up a drum machine mad loud then running it through the mic in to where its peaking. Sounds crazy and adds an extra level of compression I was just wondering if that could damage the input over time.
Yerp. So I've been messing with overdriving the fuck out of the Mic in on the 404 which produces some raw sounds that I like. Also doing some feedback loops via send/return on my mixer. I was just wondering if this is bad for the 404? (peak light is on full blast the whole time)
Trying to slave the 404s sequence to an external clock generated by the akai miniak. Basically I just want the tempo of my 404 sequence to always match the tempo of the miniak. I got it going before so I know its possible but now I cant recreate it.
I have the 404 set to midi sync "tempo", and the ...
Get the zoom r8 its the shit. does looping on each of the 8 tracks and works as an audio interface.
record your beat as a perfect loop onto one track then improv w the synth till you get something, then record that. you can either build tracks in there or just sample back to the sp.
So i just copped the Zoom r8 and its pretty ill for a standalone unit w sequencer and its own sampler functions.
the issue Im having is that when I connect my 404 to the r8 input using an RCA to 1/4" TRS cable, my samples sound all fucked up and distorted. This doesn't happen when I use a regular ...
