Strange things with my CF card

Ok decided that i would delete the contents of one of my cards, when it was plugged in to a card reader. Then i put it back in the 404 and all the stuff was still on it. So i put it back on the computer and filled the card with large samples, then loaded them in some other banks, then continued to ...

I have cubase and acid but they are a totally different thing. Cubase is recording program, yes you could sequence with it but Acid is made for that and is an awesome program when you learn to use it.

Have a look at one basic tutorial on youtube and your set.

I had a little go a using cubase ...

I think that record companies are still an important part of the industry. As for big labels I'm not sure that they will stick around, but record companies are basically a loan facility, because what unknown act could afford to record an album in a good studio.

The problem is that the general ...

Im pretty sure that my keyboard (roland juno-g) does what you are talking about but i have never tried it.

I dont see anyway that the 404 could do that unless you pitch shifted all the samples on the computer and then mapped them out of the 404 but that would take a lot of time.

i have done a bit of jamming and improve shows with my 404 and a friend, I mainly use samples that i recorded, or random sounds that i have got from free sound.

I think it all depends on what style of music you are playing and if you are playing along with existing songs.

Making the sampler ...

Are you just playing a sample while, a pattern is going? or recording a long sample into a pattern?

For the first it might be because you have to many samples being played at the one time, so it cuts out the long sample. So if its that and you are using stereo sounds then you might want to ...

i have used a electribe es-1. Its not as good as the sx-1 but the same sort style. Its a totally different style of sampling. and sequencing, i prefer the sequencer on the electribe cause its really really easy with a timeline but, i play alot of long samples and from what i have seen they are not ...

I use a small 15 watt bass amp. Guitar amps would work but they will change the sound cause of how they are set up for guitars, alot more highs and high mids generally.

Bass amps can be good too cause most have to inputs, so you can put in another instrument. I just my microkorg through it at ...

Its not about really just the machine either, the person using has alot to do with it. Its like any instrument, it takes time to learn it and get good at playing it.

I must admit that before i got my sampler i thought that beat makers and dj's didnt have any musical talent. Then i got the thing ...
