Thanks for clearing that up iLL Green. Yah my fat pads were the OG gummy ones from about 12 years ago. Been a LONG time since I put them in.

I think I'm going to have to pull them back out to tape the backs. These pads are pure hype, although they look dope as f*ck.

You own the MPC1000 mk1 (blue version). Fat pads won't fix the defective pad sensors that I'm assuming you're doing the "electrical tape trick" to fix. Spend the money on ...

- Drag sample into Simpler
- Pitch/tune sample
- add slice markers
- right click and send the slices to a drum rack
- drag n drop the sounds from the drum rack into a new track (session view)
- for each of the newly added sounds ...

On the Korg Electribe ESX the two "synth" parts can be played in Gate mode. I haven't used the new Tribe Sampler yet.

I've recorded from my SP's using multiple interfaces into Audacity hundreds of times (PC and Mac). Does your interface have a phono/line selector? Pay attention to your levels and make sure you're not clipping.
