Re: Maintenance – Cost isn't really the issue, but time is. The site is too small to hire someone to delegate things to, and my own time is limited due to other priorities.

Sorry for the technical problems. Our previous web host got acquired and then decided to shut down their services, forcing us to move the site to a new web host instead.

That was quite a big hassle, but fortunately it seems to have worked out mostly ...

From now on any new user registration will need to be approved by the admins before they can post to the forums. Hopefully this will solve the spam problems.

I just made it more difficult for spammers to sign up for an account. This might mean some regular folks might have difficulties signing up as well (they will need to answer some Roland/SP trivia), but at least we should have less spam. For existing users nothing changes ...

I don't know how, why or when Chulukinat (my brother) came up with the idea of SP Forums, but as the linked MPC Forums thread shows he felt there was room for a dedicated SP forum which didn't exist yet.
