The iRig is great, and the HD version has phantom power if you need it. I used it with Voice Record Pro and got great results. Don't forget the built-in iPhone mic is pretty damn good at close range.

It works fine with GB on iPhone too. Plus, you can capture sounds in the sampler and mangle.

SP is midi in for triggering it's own samples from another device. I think what you want is a way to feed the audio from Maschine (which is really your computer software) through the SP efx.
