Recording into iPhone Garageband?

Post by gOODKIND. »

Does anyone here do this? My Macbook is down and out so I'm looking for another way to record from my 404 SX and my 303. Any tips? I was looking into getting an iRig and then running that into Garageband on my phone.

The iRig is great, and the HD version has phantom power if you need it. I used it with Voice Record Pro and got great results. Don't forget the built-in iPhone mic is pretty damn good at close range.

It works fine with GB on iPhone too. Plus, you can capture sounds in the sampler and mangle.

Old thread but I'll leave here my experience in case anyone should be interested.

I got a Roland Duo Capture EX that I use for connecting my iPad to my other gear, it got audio (2 ins, 2 outs + headphone out) and MIDI in and out.
Runs on battery too.
It need the Apple CCK though.
