hold button problems

I was having some problems with the hold button when switching banks. I hit a looped sampled set to gate and press the hold button. I turn on an effect on that held sample and I switch to another bank. I hit a new ungated sample and the hold button at the same time, many times the hold button does ...

Re: long sample question

By snappy, i meant is there any delay or latency issues on a long 2 minute samples. When you hit a pad does the sample start right up? thanks

long sample question

I was thinking of picking up a 404sx. I was wondering how well it would play a long 4 on the floor sample. The longest one being about 2 minutes long. Would it start snappy and loop good?
Thanks

I am quoting the transcend 133X speed, I do not know how many MBs per second.

My old regular speed card worked for a while, then stopped, I will try to reformat it and try again.

The transcend cards are much cheaper than the scan disk ultra cards. I am happy right now because my card is ...

card speed

I use my sp555 slaved to an electribe.
I was having trouble with my SP-555. It was mangling some samples. I tried to change the length of the loops that seemed to help.
But then I started having other problems like the samples playing slightly out of sync when switching patterns, or samples ...

The only way I know of doing a fade with a knob requires selecting a pad first, thus playing the sample or turning off a sample from looping, this may or may not be a problem. I think it would be a problem for me.

The MC-808 can do fades real easy, but it may not be the right tool for you for ...

Thanks for the info,

I was totally confused by the backup feature, the manual should have been more clear.

Also I was able to get my Transend CF card to work by putting it in after boot up and then formatting. It seems to work fine now. My guess is something in the original Transend ...

where is the backup

I have two problems,
The main problem is when I do a backup it just saves for a second. And when I put the card into the reader I don't see any big files with all my samples in it. How does this backup work? The manual says it saves the patterns and samples data? Shouldn't I have a big file ...
