Hi -
I'm using an SP404 that's tempo synced to an external master sequencer being operated by another band mate. Every now and again i make a stupid mistake and instead of pressing a non-playing Pattern pad to queue the next pattern up, i hit the pattern that is playing and stop the SP404 all ...

Re: Triggering a continuous 3/4 loop within a 4/4 Pattern.
Thanks... the second suggestion is where i got to yesterday, a 12bar pattern so everything meets up at the same point. I think i'll stick with this then. It seemed to work, only downside is i can't use the LED counter to measure where i am in perfect bars of four throughout a performance, but then i ...

Triggering a continuous 3/4 loop within a 4/4 Pattern.
Hi,
Is there any way, within a new Pattern that is 4 bars long to trigger a sample that is only 3 bars long in such a way that it just carries on looping itself from the start... continuing in 3/4 whilst all the other loops go round in 4/4?
I've tried a few experiments but can't get it to work. I ...

'FULL' ... when it's definately not.
My SP404 has recently been saying 'FUL' when trying to import samples from a flash card, although i've gone through and deleted about 20 samples from the 404 (some 3min long in stereo) it still says 'FUL'.
Samples i'm trying to import are very short.
Any ideas?

Workaround Needed - Pattern Loops
Hi – I have a 4 bar pattern with all the samples starting on the first beat of the first bar. One sample is very long and I’d like it to start in time with the other short loops but continue through to it’s natural end without restarting when the pattern loop comes back round each time. Is there ...

Changing Patterns via ext. midi
Is it possible to change the SP404 Patterns during a song with an external sequencer rather than doing it manually?
I'd like to do this with a Korg Electribe EM-1, hopefully recording these Pattern changes onto the Electribe as part of a song.
If it is possible, how do i set the 2 up to do ...

Set-up and Midi Sync help needed!
Not entirely a roland dedicated question this but as a lot of you are using the SP's intergrated into a larger system i thought it might be worth asking anyway.

Selecting Pads without causing playback
How do i select a pad without triggering off the sample during Pattern playback? If i want to select a pad to add the gate or reverse... how do i select it without disturbing the Pattern?
Thanks

Panning samples
Is it possible to pan samples left and right within the SP404 to allow simple mixing?
I see there's a pan effect but this just ping pongs the sample back and forth at different speeds right? Can you just simply select a mono sample and pan it hard right like you can adjust it's individual volume ...

Is it possible to sync the SP404's tempo to a Microkorg arpeggiators tempo with the 404 only having midi in?
