I'm in the market for a DVD-R or USB/HD-based, MP3-compatible deck/sampler with up to +-%50 pitch range/keylock and pitch bend. Loops would be a plus.

I already own two Denon S5000s, but I'd like to add an additional piece of kit for mixing in samples, mentals and pellas LIVE. I also have the SP-606 but it doesn't allow me to beatmatch its samples on-the-go and precisely.

Any gear you'd recommend?

You can't get plus +/- %50 on anything I know of plus even so it wouldn't sound good unless you're running it on a NASA computer. The only decks that can sample that I know of are cd turntables. I would recommend a numark deck to beat match with your 606 and maybe an rc-20 loop station.

Indeed it's hard to find +-50% and I often find myself pitching between the 24-36 range. I know, it's madness ;)

I agree, a Numark iCDX looks like a good choice though not a cheap one. It also offers two loops and that's currently enough for me.

Just too bad the Denons don't have a DVD-drive or I could get mine a baby brother.

Hope that helps and if you can't buy Acid Pro ya'll need to be fucking with this program http://vemberaudio.se/shortcircuit.php, you'll thank me later 'cause the guy who made this worked on the new ableton so rest assured you can do some ill shit like +/- 96 semitone pitchshift.
