Thanks Gs! Just started from scratch, had our mpcs midid-up, found an open kick snare and hat and he did the drums, then I took a sample and flipped it lazily onto a vcr.

you should record some shit real 'hot' onto the tape and listen back and experiment with some sp effects ;)

hmmm i wrote a bunch about using vhs...?? it didn't post up??
anyway. DOPE track. i liked the sound of it! vhs is the way. the saturation is incredibly warm when captured with some SP trickery 8)

culprit, i'd like to hear what you have to say about using VHS..would be good..either way i'm going to get some blank VHS tapes soon and start experimenting..

a final thanks to yalls so i don't jerk the thread too hard. VHS is cool, I will continue experimenting. just wish i could hear the tape when rewinding, that would help alot.

fresh sounds, Kel/Wiz...beat is really hypnotic...the tape saturation from the VHS sounds sick and those bongos or w/e they are def lace it
