a thousand bucks

Post by Rhua »

First off, money isn't that important to me, if I have some to buy some neat stuff every couple of months , fine - if not, I'm used to that ;D

So I started my apprenticeship last august and applied for some support money from the government. You can get that here in Germany if your parents don't earn too much and you have your own appartment to pay and drive to work and such. It took several weeks to get that appliance together cause I have to attach overviews of my parents' earnings but I don't know my father and don't know where he lives right now either. Only thing I know is that he lives off welfare cause he hasn't been paying my child support for like... 18 years now xD So the bureaucracy wanted me to send him a letter to get an overview of his earnings and this and that, long story short: I pretended to have written him a letter and not gotten an answer so they should deal with that problem. Now last saturday I received another letter from the agency and thought "great, another form to fill out and send back..." but instead it told me that my appliance is approved and I now get ~240€ every month in addition to my wage. $-)

But that's not even all. If that wasn't enough I'm gonna get every single payment I missed out on since last august meaning I'll receive a transaction of over 1000€ next week!!! WTF!?

I was planning to do a Spain-Portugal roundtrip in march so I don't have to save as hard for that as I did anymore and I can put most of that money on my savings account for some travels after my apprenticeship ...but so much money! I don't even know why I'm posting this but to make it even a bit sp-forum related - you can imagine that a big part of my monthly extra cash goes directly into music equipment and records  I'm so stoked about it I just had to share that, thanks for your attention :)
