distorted samples

hey everyone. trouble shooting question.

all of my hi fi samples on the 202 are sounding distorted. i've tried going through the rca's and also thorugh the mic input with an 8" adapter. i'm using the correct power supply, so i don't believe it's a power issue. the samples aren't peaking, they're just straight up shitty sounding. and i've got two 202s. it's happening on both of them. logic would suggest i'm doing something wrong or have bad cables or power, but all is proper on my 303. any ideas??

Are you sampling to the internal banks or to the memory card?

no but for serious, check that you aren't recording the samples too hot.
