Black Sabbath

Post by ellaguru »

hi guys
this was recorded for the ST224forum for a battle
the trouble is that it wasn't realized with the st224, but i was at work on a "lost lunchtime" and i mostly conceived that with a my pc; the vocals are made with the sp606 "casualy" 'cause you cannot multitracking live with this machine while listen the other tracks (damn!).

so i adjusted the result with the pc after.
the title is "black sabbath", because since a "sabbatical year" we didnt made a battle on that forum...

from a bass head like you this is a great compliment man!

the st224 is a beast.
very honestly timestretching is better than sp505/303 and i think sps in general. you have no pops/noises with it. it sounds just a little more "metallic".
the pitchshifting fx is ok, but you have the REAL PITCH on this evil machine! plus, when you use the pitch scale function (great!) you can then make timestrecthing of every single sample very precise with bpm with a trick (not existing on the manual>>>http://sampletrak.lefora.com/2010/09/28 ... tip/#post8) if you try to , for ex, obtain "weird synths" (i do this always eheeh)...

yes lunch time it was short but cool

ot
as an sp606 head as you are i got a question:
how do you multitrack "live" with this machine without recording the incoming audio of the trac (or tracks) you have yet recorded?
