small design question

Post by dishwater »

this is a very tiny inconvenience, but whenever you search the forum, your search terms are highlighted in bright yellow, and the original text is white, which makes the highlighted words unreadable. obviously you know what you've just searched, but it still makes stuff hard to read (maybe it's my brain ; ).
and if you search different terms, you don't know which highlight means what, for ex. if you search 'sp303' and 'sp404' both will appear as a similar sized yellow rectangle.

thought i'd drop that here, maybe you could change that in the css at some point

one trick i've used is to delete the "hilit=____" part from the url.
for example I just searched "resample," and decided to open the air trick kickn'snares thread
first you get this
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8938&hilit=resample
but then if you delete that last part of the url (hilit=resample) you get the thread w/o the highlight
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8938&

I'll look into it. Shouldn't be that difficult to change as you say. Expect it to be fixed tomorrow or this weekend.

I fear something got screwed up in the process, as I can only few the forums in white pages and Word-style texts??? Weird.

I think it's a good idea to focus on small design questions. They are easy to understand and are easy to implement. If you have time and resources, you can do more than one small design question. You can use strategy PowerPoint templates in your small designs. It's also possible that someone else already has the answer to your question.
