applying effects to samples while playing patterns

is it possible to modify the effects of individual samples whilst the patterns are playing? if so how do you do this?

Hey, I'm a noob here too, but i think you've posted in the wrong forum. goto your specific sp model forum and ask there or in production techniques (dunno witch yet).
second, you didn't mention wich sp you are using.
I've only played with sp-303 (a couple of days now). As for that model - press remain + the pad of sample to wich you want to apply an effect, and then apply an effect. only 1 effect at a time. or 1 effect for a couple of samples (same, but select more pads) at a time.

P.S. is there a thread to say "hello, i'm new and i'm an sp addict"?
