the mass storage thing

hi guys
i'm using the useful mas storage function.
what i would like to point is: is the 606 mass storage like any other usb mass storage?
i mean: when you'r , for ex on ableton live or cubase or whatever, and you have finished to put files on the mass storage,you disconnect the mass from a pc and if you whant to riconnect, this don't happens, so i think is like a commo usb key (mas storage): you have to disconnect the usb cable.
any tips to don't do this everytime? not that bad, but...

I would say it's easier just to unplug it and replug it back in.
