i'm sure korakios has posted the p606 files in some thread because i looked at them 3 or 4 days ago while i was looked for informations for my new sp606 (i re-got it since 1 week). so please, recheck better.

1 year and half i had bought 1 sp606. i sold it soonly because it had some bugs.
now i rebought it because of a very nice price and also the fact that now i'm more making sounds with hardware+pc, so for your question "is it good enough alone?", i prefer the sp505 as standalone, i think is more complete (pitch, chop, resample the pads on the bank you want etc). but the sp606 is conceived more to work with pc. i'm starting to use it with ableton live and it's very nice and useful. plus, the fact that it's also a soundcard and a midi controller is very practic; and don't forget that you can sample directly from pc via usb...and, yes, you got 2 simultaneous fx...the dbeam thing( for a live situation is very "visual")....and you have also a simply but not bad synth inside (oscillator+envelope fx)...

...sure, if you're more on vinyl and on hardware, this is not useful informations...

I think you should check cakewalk kinetic2...P606 is very limited and the sounds are outdated but that keeps it simple and fast!

To be honest, the p606 program pretty much sucks. You really don't need it.
