newb 505 ?

i bought a 128mb card because my internal memory was full. Formatted the card, it seenms to work fine. BUT my 505 is still saying memory full when i try to sample or record a pattern even with the card in. i'm used to the 404, not used to the 505 and how it works with cards. so how do i use the card memory? THANKS in advance. i know this is a stupid question but i can't seem to figure it out by reading the manual.

this may sound ridiculous, but maybe you put the card in upside down? if you did, the 505 will not recognize it (so yr machine will still say "full"). otherwise, you should be able to hit "user bank" and see a bunch of empty spaces after the chop and pitch banks.

had similar problem, try using the card banks, user banks use up the internal memory... peace...
