So the new UNKLE album

UNKLE for me has been hit and miss since psyence fiction (undoubtedly due in no small part to the absence of dj shadow), but i decided to pick up the new album based on the strength of the single 'the runaway,' a song which consequently has my vote for one of the greatest beats ever (super dark/morbid/creepy/incredible)

the album is ok, but it wasn't really knocking me out, and i found myself fast forwarding to the runaway every time i popped it in (i still buy cd's)

BUT i bought the deluxe box version of the album for the cool artwork,and it includes an instrumental version of the album. all i can say is HOLY FUCK this album is incredible! I mean the instrumental version is a COMPLETELY different, in my opinion far superior, experience. Do yourself a favor pick up the INSTRUMENTAL version of the new UNKLE album 'where did the night fall'...it's fucking great...

has anybody had this happen before where you prefer the instrumental of an album over the "full" version? this is the first time it's happened for me...

how is the new unkle album?
personally even the first one (except some instrumental tracks by dj shadow + the one with tom yorke) didn't seem to me a great work at the time. just an half-cool album.

anyway, the album by burning spear "marcus garvey" and the dub (almost istrumental) version makes me -almost- this effect.
