probably an obvious problem

Post by oinkbanana »

for the past month I've been enjoying a 404sx
lately sample 6 bank A has been acting like an empty pad.
loading the file with the program is not a problem
put the card in the sampler, turn sampler on, trigger sample everything OK.
turn sampler on/off and the sample is gone, nothing plays back.

then looking at the sample folder on my PC shows the sample is still there,
but the importing software shows that there's no sample loaded... hmmm.??

i've tried different samples, but the same thing keeps happening to that same pad.
any ideas?
maybe it's lock protected? can't find any info in the manual aside from unprotecting everything (which hasn't solved the problem)

a lot of people have complained that the stock cards arent very stable. i suggest buying an after market one and moving on.

is it recommended I get a class 4 (or class6) card?
or is the bandwidth of the samples too small to make a difference?

link to thread with recommended cards?
