Organsing Imported Audio Files with SP 404

Hey,
I just purchased a 404 and i'm trying to figure out how to organize my imported audio samples. For example, I want my drum hits in bank A, drum loops in bank B. Basically I want to know how to assign each sample to a specific pad without overwriting samples I want to keep. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers!
