SP 808_how to set up a midi controller to use the synth fx

Ive been all over trying to figure it out and the manual sux but im going to take another look at it. Im trying to hook up my midi controller and use the internal analog synth with it. I know you can just gotta find out how and ive never set up anything through midi and have it work. Be nice if you could use the pads to control it but roland aint too bright, all you can do it turn it on and change a bunch of settings and lfo but you cant use it like ambient pad samples which is gay. im not into the bee boo bop looping sounds in techno music.

After selecting the SYN patch you want to play, set your controller to channel 11. The virtual analog synth is a 2 osc and is only monophonic but is heavily programmable.
