Guys,

Great beats and nice interpretations of the sample.

Wax: I really enjoyed what you did here. Excellent use of the filtering to make those drops. This had a lot of polish to it and shows that you know a hell of a lot about your machine! My only critique is that the loop that you chose was a little bit obvious and you didn't alter it too much...then again, sometimes samples don't need it!

Comp: You also had a really great beat. You had creative use of the sample- my only critiques are that 1) at times the loops you chopped seemed a bit forced and threw off your groove and 2) although you had a lot of great variations, they were sort of abrupt and didn't play off of each other to add momentum to the track.

Much respect to both of you, but I am voting Wax.

BTW: I love the no ghosting rule. It helps keep things legit and opens the doors for nice constructive criticism.

hi guys what is this, a duel ?!!?? :)

i didnt read the rules (only sp were available?), so sorry for my comments.

wax: very pro quality of the sound, classical structure of the track; nice use of filters. maybe the beginning is a little too long, but it is justified by the "explosions" of filters in the second part, so...

computers: a very changing and various structure, maybe it needs a little more coehesion; the final part (the reverse, oh my satan!) is pure drug style...

conclusion:
i will still relisten them.
i'm at work, they look at me strangely yet ahah...
then i will (ghost)vote

Wax: Loved the drums, nice and simple. Thought there were too many opportunities to where you could have made an epic "climax".

Comp: Loved the reversed part. Thought the track lacked a strong structure.

Voted Computers.

good stuff doods.

wax: love yr stuff. this beat was a lil too smoove for me though. sounded great, howevs, i like fings a lil more rough.

putes: great mash up of weirdness. i can see what peeps are saying about things not fitting together evenly. i think cuz the piece wasn't too long, it worked.

i gave my vote to computers. but, as everyone knows, i'm a big fan of wax.

bon job, les gars.

these were both REAL nice. even though i'm voting w/o hearing the original sample i have a rough idea how you both went about with some of the chops and fx. both had creative stuff going on. like the way computers rearranged the chops and made it more chaotic, and wax with the smooth phaser layer and vocal snippet on the fill. ................ i'm choosin on vibe this time so it's wax by a hair.

...hey compy... really diggin the first part, the guitars came to sloppy though and some drums over the reversed part would have killed it... nevertheless the better beat through diversity.

good fun, i want revenge in like 2month, aight?!
now i`m down for no.72...

Very nice job to both of you, two very different interpretations of a sample which shows the creative minds we got around here. I had to vote for Wax though, for the same reason I stopped battling him and drive a BMW....Germans know how to design and build with a high degree of precision. My beats sound like a sloppy american

thanks man
really digging yours, too, it has a nice laidback vibe to it
i love that snare
but you definitely didn't do much chopping for a battle, in my opinion

yeah, but you knew i wasn't going to be using external drums or anything other than the 404 ;)
i should've spent a little more time on mine, though

anytime, old man!

Wax- Smooth, nice use of filters, and sly diss at the end. However, I felt that it was kind of a lazy flip, there's a lot that you could've done with the sample

Computers- You fucked with that sample nicely, the reversed drums were ill too. It could've been more cohesive, but it was mad creative.

Both are dope, but my vote goes to Computers.
