Does anybody use digital recorders with their sp?

Do u guys use this since the sequencing on the 40 is kind of annoying and its only one track? im getting used to it but i was wondering if a 8 track recorder would be good so i could mute certain tracks in my beat and whatnot

lately ive tracked out some beats from the 404 into logic using a usb-midi cord and a decent interface. if you want to track out from the 404, the biggest thing id suggest is some kind of midi cord from the recorder to your sp so your pattern starts each time you hit record and you dont have to line things up excessively
